BR Standard Class 7 Britannia 4-6-2 No. 70001, formerly named Lord Hurcomb, passes Gretna Junction with a Manchester to Glasgow Central express during July 1965. Towards the rear of the train, the Glasgow, Dumfries & Carlisle line can be seen diverging westwards towards Gretna and Annan. [P.J. Robinson]
